El sistema podra ser capaz de tomar video HD en 360 grados desde todas sus camaras al mismo tiempo.<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"anno-right\" data-count=\"0\"><\/div>\n<p class=\"annotatable\" data-article-id=\"412693\" data-thread-id=\"207536\" data-annotation-count=\"0\"><span class=\"anno-span\">This is not going to be like the Google Glass <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Google_Glass#Development\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Explorer program<\/a>, where Google took applications from members of the public to purchase its device. Rather than letting anyone\u00a0do what they will with with the technology, Google will control\u00a0the experience, most likely from its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/yt\/space\/los-angeles.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">YouTube studio<\/a> in Los Angeles.<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"anno-right\" data-count=\"0\"><\/div>\n<p class=\"annotatable\" data-article-id=\"412693\" data-thread-id=\"207537\" data-annotation-count=\"0\"><span class=\"anno-span\">The system\u00a0will be available in July, and exclusively for six months, to a select few content creators handpicked by\u00a0Google. The company is still figuring out who the content creators getting\u00a0the camera setup will be, a Google representative told Quartz. Certain YouTube stars and celebrities are likely to be chosen, with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=edcJ_JNeyhg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the first 360-degree\u00a0video <\/a>in\u00a0the partnership coming\u00a0from the pop song\u00a0remixer\u00a0Avicii.<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"anno-right\" data-count=\"0\"><\/div>\n<p class=\"annotatable\" data-article-id=\"412693\" data-thread-id=\"207538\" data-annotation-count=\"0\"><span class=\"anno-span\">According to Google, Jump will be the catchall term for its 360-degree video offering, which will include GoPro\u2019s camera array, a rendering engine and a virtual reality video player, which will be compatible with Google Cardboard, the company\u2019s virtual reality viewer.<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"anno-right\" data-count=\"0\"><\/div>\n<p class=\"annotatable\" data-article-id=\"412693\" data-thread-id=\"207539\" data-annotation-count=\"0\"><span class=\"anno-span\">Jump will work a bit like Google+\u2019s \u201cAuto-awesome\u201d photo enhancement feature\u2014users will upload their footage from the GoPro array, and Jump will stitch the video together to create a \u201cspherical\u201d video, which the company described as similar to a\u00a0360-degree virtual reality video, but with the depth of field of a 3D video.<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"anno-right\" data-count=\"0\"><\/div>\n<p class=\"annotatable\" data-article-id=\"412693\" data-thread-id=\"207540\" data-annotation-count=\"0\"><span class=\"anno-span\">\u201cThe array\u00a0solves the many challenges that the pro community faces when it comes to capturing panoramic content,\u201d GoPro said in a statement. \u201cGoogle and\u00a0<span class=\"il\">GoPro<\/span>\u2019s integrated solution will help to eliminate some of their biggest pain points: camera syncing and high\u00a0speed connectivity are two of the biggest.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"anno-right\" data-count=\"0\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"anno-right\" data-count=\"0\">\n<p class=\"annotatable\" data-article-id=\"412693\" data-thread-id=\"207541\" data-annotation-count=\"0\"><span class=\"anno-span\">GoPro\u2019s UFO-shaped array will be mountable on a tripod or a large drone, the company\u00a0told Quartz\u2014which would presumably put DJI\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/qz.com\/379318\/the-latest-drones-are-packing-livestreaming-virtual-reality-interfaces-and-a-little-bit-of-bling\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">virtual reality\u00a0drone setup<\/a> to shame. (GoPro is apparently also working on\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/qz.com\/303279\/why-drones-will-likely-be-gopros-next-big-hit\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">its own drone<\/a>.) GoPro hasn\u2019t announced a price for the array, but said it will be a \u201cpro solution\u201d level device.\u00a0GoPro also released an <a href=\"https:\/\/eyes.kolor.com\/video\/531be9d2b1d6458662713c13693206c9\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">interactive video showing off its new camera<\/a> array that involves cars drifting dizzyingly around.<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"anno-right\" data-count=\"0\"><\/div>\n<p class=\"annotatable\" data-article-id=\"412693\" data-thread-id=\"207542\" data-annotation-count=\"0\"><span class=\"anno-span\">While virtual reality is still very much in its infancy, GoPro\u2019s move into the space seems a logical one.\u00a0The company\u00a0is trying to position itself as a <a href=\"http:\/\/qz.com\/339124\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">media company<\/a> at the forefront of the extreme video market. It currently sells a four-camera array and <a href=\"http:\/\/qz.com\/re\/patents+google\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">recently acquired<\/a> Kolor, a French company whose technology stitches videos into 360-degree videos.
